Krav Maga School Opening in Scottsdale

On Oct 11, 2009 – Arizona Krav Maga (Cottonwood Combat), owned and operated by Tim Hills, opened its first Phoenix Valley location at the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. Mr. Hillis is the direct student of IKI founder and Krav Maga expert Moshe Katz.
On October 11th, 2009 Southern Arizona received it's first opportunity to train in the Krav Maga of current Sayeret Duvdevan (IDF Highest Level of Special Forces), active operators of YAMAM (Israeli Border Police Hostage Rescue Unit), the Israeli Presidential Security Staff, Israeli Prison Service Officers, Elite Security personnel and the citizens of Israel privileged and wise enough to train with Moshe Katz and/or Itay Gil.
This unique method of Krav Maga experienced it's inception many years ago as IKI President Itay Gil took the additional position of Tactics Instructor for the YAMAM (Israeli Border Police Hostage Rescue Unit). Being the lead Tactics Instructor was an effective proving ground because, per agency policy, he remained LOCHEM (fighter/operator) while he developed new techniques and approaches to dealing with terrorists and violent criminals. Never getting too far from the action gave him real time feedback on what was and was not effective. Over the years he honed and distilled his craft into only the most effective techniques. Techniques which could work for anyone, at anytime, against any opponent, regardless of the threat; be it from a single or multiple attackers, even with guns or knives.
Moshe Katz is Mr. Gil's highest ranked student and founder of Israeli Krav International. Mr. Katz is also the only person who currently trains regularly with Itay Gil, is authorized to teach and travels and the globe to teach this modern/unique method.
